From simple flows to core exercises, self love and a granny disco chair video (YES), below is a list of the short, simple practices that I’ve been relying on to get me moving and smiling this week.
Why not forward the list to a buddy, and ask them to do a video with you?
Let me know how you get on 🙂
1. BEGINNER’S AWAKENING PRACTICE – JASON CRANDELL (15 min)
A short flow that’s perfect if you’re new to yoga or are looking for simple to ease out tension in the body and mind. Jason is known for his focus on anatomy, so also good for those with injuries.
2. A STRONG CORE SEQUENCE – NAOMI ANNAND (10 min)
A fiery sequence from the owner of my favourite studio in London (Yoga on the Lane). Your lower back will thank you for it.
3. YOGA FOR SELF LOVE – JESSAMYN STANLEY (8 min)
Jessamyn is a brilliant teacher with an inspiring approach, and self love is one of the most important lessons yoga can teach! (p.s My feature of the Myth of the Yoga Body features Jessmyn)
4. MORNING WAKE UP FLOW – ANNIE CLARKE (15 min)
I love this morning practice, which combines gentle stretching with a few more engaging and strengthening postures. Plus she includes enough vinyasas to make me feel like I worked.
5. STAYING ALIVE DISCO CHAIR YOGA – SHERRY MORRIS (5 min)
This video is everything. Send to your elderly relatives and do it along with them.
